Steve reached out to me for help with building out an eCommerce solution for his Lifestyle Hockey Apparel.
We talked about his goals and needs, and I quickly realized that Yawning Cage wasn’t your typical hockey lifestyle gear. His enthusiasm and vision to give an identity to those who exhibit and live life as a professional, always pushing themselves on and off the ice, was exciting. In today’s world, overwhelmed with “bro culture”, it was so refreshing to hear he wasn’t concerned with fitting into the classic hockey stereotypes.
We focused on a website with clean and consistent look, with a lot of room for scaling as the Yawning Cage brand and collections grow in the coming months. The result is a clean and simple design that allows the apparel to be the centre off attention.

Yawning Cage is challenging the status quo, and if you’re a hockey player or fan that doesn’t refer to your hair as salad, or use the word buddy nine times in one sentence, this apparel is for you.
